Being here for more than 4 years, I can say SRMAB is a quality school for visually impaired kids. Being in the center of the city, there are tons of places which just fake on the name of education and quality. It’s a free school run by Srinivas Sir, a great person by character and caliber. Very encouraging to say that students are getting job in the firms like IBM, Wipro and many more IT companies. Yes, I got one more reason to pride on being an IT professional.
Small students of 1st standard
How I get to know this place – 4 years back, we have started computer class here. Yes, Computer class – a boost to Visually impaired kids and a great scope of job in this field. Now, we were able to set up more than 20 computers at this place with a great capability to teach high level computer course.
Annual Day Dance - a first std. and 7th std.
If you want to be amazed – I welcome you to see the students performance at a day. For many you will find out they are as normal as normals are not
. What’s next – off course a great life ahead.
Performance award by Srinivas Sir
Annual sports, Cultural events are on a high and competitive level. Many of them, won many prizes in US Dance program. And that’s not the end. A zeal to learn and learn.

Sports Day - Quite a competitive sports

Nice one Sirjee.. Lovely pics.. Yup it is a very good school
thanks KP.
Thanks for jogging my memory. Was reasonably closely involved with SRMAB during my school/college days since my mother was a full time teacher there. I remember most of the students there as cheerful, happy go lucky, mischievous, ‘normal’ kids. The impromptu orchestra sessions they used to pull together were real treats. The last thing they expected from other people was sympathy.
Wonderful school indeed, and kudos to Mr. Srinivasan.
Glad to know. Thanks for visiting the blog.
Nice one dear
Even though am not able to come to SRMAB, the love they give when ever v meet is overwhelming. On your marriage, had good time with Nagraj sir
who is Nagraj Sir dear ?
I trained here, and volunteered for quite a while
Thanks for writing about it! Do you know that they have a farm on Kanakapura Road, with worm-to-weave sarees, and vegetables and a dairy farm too?
Nice to know Deepa. Yes, been there for some time. Thats a lovely open place. We had set up some 5 computers there as well.
I miss those days.. the sweet children, the humble Joseph Sir… I really miss them a lot!
Thanks for reviving the memories, Vaibhav…
That was a touching post. disability of any kind can be a handicap, but the spirit with which it is dealt with is what raises the person above the limitations. And obviously Mr.Srinivasan is able to inspire his students with that spirit.
Hi, I would like to contact someone from this school to donate as part of our corporate CSR. can you please send me their details to vivat.jay@gmail.com or a number to reach them?
Sure, you can contact me or Joseph Sir in the school. He will help you further.
Excellent post sir. I have been there just a couple of times, but never felt that they are different. I have seen then doing all the work which you and I do. If you have a will you can overcome challenges. Nothing comes free and easy.
